Meet the BD&P Shark Tank Judges: Kelsey Clark and Bronwyn Inkster

Two partners, Kelsey Clark and Bronwyn Inkster, from Avatar Innovations partner, Burnet, Duckworth & Palmer LLP, are to sit as Shark Tank judges in the first round of the Action Learning Project presentations on March 18.

Kelsey and Bronwyn are both corporate lawyers who advise business leaders on a range of corporate law matters. They understand the unique challenges entrepreneurs starting a new business face and advise their clients on meeting those challenges and evolving their ideas in to a new business venture.

Speaking about the lawyer client relationship, Bronwyn said, "I enjoy saying 'yes' to clients. Some companies view their legal advisors as an obstacle to accomplishing their end goal, whereas I believe lawyers are facilitators that can help a client effectively meet that end goal. I find that entrepreneurial clients tend to have a different approach and perspectives on issues than more established clients. I find that I learn more from them than the inverse."

"Working with entrepreneurs is really rewarding. Being able to collaborate with someone to grow their new innovative idea from concept through to establishment, while helping them solve problems and limit risk throughout, is meaningful work for me and our team", commented Kelsey.
